Admissions Requirements and Procedures

Academic Requirements

The LL.M. International Business and Trade Law program considers applicants who meet at least one of the following criteria:
  • A

    Bachelor’s degree in Law

    Have completed a university first cycle (undergraduate) or integrated education studies in the study field of Law.

  • B

    Alternative Degrees

    Completed non-university higher education (college, applied science) in Law with at least 60 credits of additional university-level training in Law.

  • C

    Professional Background + Degrees

    Completed non-law first (undergraduate) or second (graduate) cycle university studies with a minimum of 3 years of work experience in the jurisprudence field related to the program. Mandatory completion of at least 15 credits in Law disciplines.

  • D

    Other degrees

    Completed non-law first (undergraduate) or second (graduate) cycle university studies, supplemented with at least 60 credits of university-level studies in Law.

Language Requirements

All program courses will be conducted in English. As a result, applicants need to demonstrate their proficiency in the English language as per the following requirements:

    Language Proficiency Certificate

    CEFR level B2; or IELTS 5.5 (no less than 5.0 in any element); or TOEFL iBT 72; or equivalent

    Alternative Verification

    Alternatively, evidence you have previously studied in English can be accepted

Neada Mullalli

Lecturer

With over two decades of experience in legal practice and academia, Neada brings expertise in contracts drafting and negotiation, as well as a proficiency in filing court applications for changes in a corporation's acts of establishment. Holding a Certificate of Excellence in Teaching from the Central European University, she currently serves as an advisor at the Liberal Arts and Sciences Collaborative and is a CLASP Fellow.

Konstantin Ivanov

Associate Professor

Konstantin, a seasoned legal professional, graduated in law in 2008. With 20 years of experience, he completed European Law internships and the European Business Law course in 2008. Nominated for a Doctor of Law degree in 2011, he advises on CIS-member States' law in Vilnius, serves as a business coach, and holds a permanent arbitrator position at Riga Arbitration Court.

Liliana Tymchenko

Associate professor

Liliana, with 29 years in international law teaching, was an expert on the Legal Reform Commission under the President of Ukraine (2019–2021) and the Scientific Advisory Council of the Higher Administrative Court of Ukraine (2014–2017). A graduate of programs by the American Bar Association, IREX, Coimbra Group Hospitality Scheme, and the Civic Education Project. Teaches Philosophy and Methodology of International Law, International Law and Legal Theory.
